A Sunday worthy breakfast, consisting of two poached eggs over top maple roasted brussel sprouts and sweet potatoes! The eggs were poached to medium so that the yolk cascaded down into the vegetables. So delicious and comforting. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend (long weekend here in Canada). Cheers!

And no, you do not need any fancy slicer or spiraler for this recipe. I have been making my most recent recipes by doing my best at using up everything in my fridge, and putting off grocery shopping for a couple of days! It had been fun, challenging and has been saving us money too! [...]
My favourite thing about making roast chicken or turkey is creating a soup from scratch with the leftovers! The top photo is a roasted herb, lemon and garlic chicken with roasted vegetables. I thought it looked delicious, wholesome and fairly simple to prepare, so decided to try it out (of course changing some things [...]
Happy Friday to all! Lately I have been fairly lazy with preparing my breakfasts.... I tend to reach for some yogurt and fruit, or instant oatmeal, rather than cooking up some eggs or pancakes. Waking up and getting going can be tough! Although I enjoy my yogurt and fruit, I have found that it just [...]
I have been trying to embrace fall by preparing warm, cozy meals with fall harvest foods. Being at home with the little one in the day has allowed me the time needed to prepare these slower-cooking meals. I have always wanted to try making a puréed soup of some sorts, but it always seemed daunting [...]
Today I took advantage of my sons self-sufficient mood and prepared some things in the kitchen I have been meaning to prepare. My little boy is now six months old and therefore, old enough to start being introduced to various solids. That being said, today I thought I would try making some homemade baby foods. [...]
